About
Hi! My name is Nick Taylor (nickytonline). I am a Microsoft MVP, GitHub Star, Software Developer, and Developer Advocate based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
With over two decades in technology and a decade of open source contributions, plus six years of professional open source work at companies like OpenSauced, dev.to, Netlify, and now Pomerium, I bring deep community knowledge to my work.
You can browse my open-source projects, and check out the full list on GitHub.
You'll often find me live streaming tech content, either solo or with friends from the community. I also run the One Tip a Week newsletter and mentor in the Let's Get Technical community.
Speaking & Conferences
I'm an active conference speaker at events including All Things Open, ConFoo, BlackHat USA, AI Engineer Europe, SREday, and MCP Dev Summit. My talks cover topics ranging from Zero Trust security and AI agent workflows to web development and open source contribution.
You can browse all my talks and presentations for slide decks, recordings, and more.
Content Creation
I create content across multiple platforms — live streaming on Twitch and YouTube, writing technical articles, and publishing my One Tip a Week newsletter.
