About
I'm Nick Taylor (@nickytonline) — a developer advocate and software engineer at Pomerium, based in Montréal, Quebec, Canada. I'm a GitHub Star, Agentic AI Foundation (AAIF) Ambassador, AWS Community Builder, and Microsoft MVP with 20+ years in software and a focus on the intersection of Zero Trust security, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and agentic AI. I write, speak, stream, and build things where those worlds collide.
I've been building software for over twenty years and contributing to open source for about half that. I've worked at OpenSauced, dev.to, and Netlify, and now I'm in developer relations at Pomerium.
You can browse my open-source projects, and check out the full list on GitHub.
You'll often find me live streaming tech content, either solo or with friends from the community. I also run the One Tip a Week newsletter and mentor in the Let's Get Technical community.
Speaking & Conferences
I speak at conferences like All Things Open, ConFoo, BlackHat USA, AI Engineer Europe, SREday, and MCP Dev Summit. I usually talk about web dev, open source, AI agents, or Zero Trust security.
You can browse all my talks and presentations or visit the speaking page for topics, a bio, and how to book me.
Content Creation
I stream on Twitch and YouTube, write about whatever I'm figuring out, and send out One Tip a Week — a short newsletter with practical dev tips.
